Jomana Al-Rashid stepped into her leadership role at SRMG in October 2020. The following year marked a new chapter for the company, formerly known as the Saudi Research and Marketing Group, as it underwent a rebranding to become the Saudi Research and Media Group (SRMG). This period of transformation included the launch of Manga Arabia and the acquisition of a majority stake in Thmanyah, an Arabic podcast platform. Additionally, SRMG diversified its portfolio with the establishment of Raff Publishing. In terms of financial growth, SRMG reported a robust 27.6% increase in revenue, reaching $719 million in the first nine months of 2022, a significant rise from $563.6 million during the equivalent timeframe of the previous year. SRMG’s operational footprint spans 11 countries and encompasses a digital presence through 25 websites, along with the publication of 30 different titles.
Prior to her tenure at SRMG, Al-Rashid was a prominent figure in media advisory and served in a key diplomatic role as the communications director at the Saudi Embassy in London, leading the embassy’s media operations. Beyond her executive duties, she is an influential member of the board at Argaam Investment Company and holds the positions of chairman at both the Red Sea Film Festival Foundation and Thmanyah Publishing and Distribution.
